Elon Musk resolved conflicts with Apple, as he meets Tim Cook at iPhone headquarters
Twitter’s new boss Elon Musk resolved conflicts with Apple. After meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook, Musk said that he has resolved Twitter vs Apple issue and added that Apple has never commented that it was going to remove Twitter from its App store.
After having one meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook, Elon Musk said that he resolved Twitter vs Apple issue on Thursday. He further added that in the meeting they both come together to clear all the misunderstandings over the micro-blogging platform possibly being removed from the App Store. Elon Musk posted a video on Twitter of his trip to the Apple headquarters and commented, “Thanks @tim_cook for taking me around Apple’s beautiful HQ.” In a subsequent tweet, Elon musk said, “Good conversation. Among other things, we have cleared the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store. Tim clearly said that Apple had never planned to do so.” And Elon Musk resolved conflicts with Apple successfully. The tweet explodes on the social media platform with various replies.
One user commented, “Once you said you would compete in the phone market, Apple CEO Tim Cook got scared and changed his tune. Power move by Elon Musk,” while another user posted, “Yeah, after he saw we were all willing to smash our iPhones.” The latest development comes after Elon Musk upped his attacks on Apple. He criticized the App Store cut on November 18, by calling it a “hidden 30 percent tax on the Internet”. But now Elon Musk resolves Twitter vs Apple Issue successfully. Elon Musk shared his view through a tweet last Monday that “Apple has almost stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America?”, and the following day he said, “The iPhone maker has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why.”
A short time ago only Elon Musk claimed that Apple has “threatened to withhold” the micro-blogging platform from its App Store without giving a reason. Elon Musk’s allegation came shortly after he tweeted that Apple has “mostly stopped advertising on” Twitter following a poll that asked users about whether the iPhone maker should “publish all censorship actions it has taken that affect its customers”. In a series of tweets, Musk also said, “The iPhone maker has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why.” “Did you know Apple puts a secret 30 percent tax on almost every product you buy through their App Store?” Several users expressed their thoughts on Elon Musk’s claim. While one user commented, “Apple doesn’t support free speech”, another said, “because you’re violating the rules about moderating extremist content”.
Will This Peace Prevail?
Twitter’s new boss, Elon Musk who recently topped the headlines with several non-conventional decisions in the past few months, claims that he has resolved all the conflicts with Apple. But the question arises how long will this peace prevail? And time can only answer it in a better way.
